In this instance, our client was building an incredible penthouse with a roof terrace and fabulous views across Southampton. We were called upon early on in the construction project to install some electric roller blinds to the view facing windows in the living room and bedroom.

Semi Transparent Screen

With huge sliding doors transported from Germany and craned up to the property, our client wanted a blind solution that would reduce glare but allow them to enjoy the amazing city. We recommended a 3% transparent screen fabric to create some privacy and shading without blocking out the view.

Ceiling Recess & Hardwired Power

In keeping with the smart and modern interior, we worked with the client’s building contractor to create a smart recess in the ceiling, just above the windows, so that the roller blind would neatly roll away and be hidden when not in use. We advised the building team on the exact sizing for the recess, the best position for the power supply and made several site visits during the build to ensure the finished installation was perfect.

Quick Installation

During the build the blinds were manufactured to the exact size required, ready to be fitted as soon as the room and recess was complete. With little notice we were able to fit the blinds and program the handset to the client’s required settings in a single day.

Multiple Controls

For the living area we installed a multi-channel handset that sits in a wall mounted holster. This allows the blinds to be operated all together or separately. For the bedroom we installed a wall switch so that the blinds could be opened and closed simultaneously.
