The Electric Blind Company

If you are thinking about placing an electric blinds order with us, we custom make every single blind, so we will need to know exactly what options you would like in order to finalise your order. There are many different product options and choices that we will ask you to confirm so that we can create the perfect set of electric blinds for your home. Here is a handy guide to all of the things you will need to think about and the choices available for each aspect of your new electric blinds, so that you can have time to consider all of the options before you speak with us.

Size and Number of Blinds

Consider how many blinds you will need to cover the width of your window and what size each blind will need to be. The maximum width of blind we supply is 3000mm and the smallest width is 600mm. We advise opting for the fewest number of blinds possible for a neat and tidy finish. If you have wide bifold doors, take a look at our Electric Blinds for Bifold Doors page for information on how blinds can be configured across 3, 4 and 5 panel doors.

Power Requirements

Electric blinds can be powered by 230v hardwired domestic electricity, Cat6 Ethernet cables or wireless batteries. Take a look at our Hardwired and Battery pages for more help and advice.

  • Cat6/Low voltage

How would you like to control your electric blinds? We have a number of options available including hand held remotes, wall switches, home automation systems and digital assistant setups. Take a look at our Electric Blind Controls page for more information.

Mounts and Fascias

You also need to consider how you are going to make space for your blinds. This may be by creating a bespoke ceiling recess to hide them from view, by installing a custom made Blind Pocket or by fitting a Blind Fascia. Please read our Mounts and Fascias page to find out more.

We can source a wide range of different fabrics for your new electric blinds. Both block colour and patterned materials are available. We also offer different transparencies depending on whether you want full blackout or a screen fabric. Please take a look at our Electric Blinds Fabrics page for more information.

  • Transparent
  • Translucent
  • Blackout

Hardware Colour

The hardware that connects the roller blind and fascia will need to fit in with your ceiling colour or be painted to match your windows/doors. We have a choice of standard white or black, or, if you have a specific RAL colour, we can colour match.

  • White
  • Black
  • RAL Colour Match

Think about when you want the blinds to be fitted. As a guide, we usually allow 4 weeks from final survey to final installation. Let us know when your windows will be ready so we can reserve an installation appointment for you.

  • 4 Weeks

We hope this helps to guide you through the process of designing your new electric blinds. Careful consideration for all of these details will allow us to create beautiful electric blinds that work perfectly for your home.
