All of our Somfy electric blinds can be controlled using the simple to use Somfy myLink App. Here are a few of the ways in which Somfy myLink can make your day-to-day life that little bit easier…

Remote Access and Control

Somfy’s myLink App allows you to control your Somfy-powered electric blinds via your smartphone, wherever you happen to be. Whether you are at work, away on holiday, walking the dog or doing the shopping, you have the power to open or close your blinds at the touch of a button. This functionality is especially useful for protecting rooms and furnishings from UV light or opening blinds when you have forgotten to do so, whilst on the go.

Automated Events

You can also use the myLink App to automate your electric blinds to open or close at set times of the day and on chosen days of the week. The Somfy myLink App uses ‘Scenes’ and ‘Schedules’ to create automated settings for your electric blinds. Simply select the blinds that you want to programme, whether you want them to open or close, and then schedule the time and day you want that ‘scene’ to happen. You can have up to 25 ‘scenes’ per myLink account giving you plenty of space to cover every situation.

Simple to Use

The Somfy myLink App has been designed for ease of use. The intuitive installation and setup process allows you to enjoy the myLink app with very little effort. All you need to do to get started is download the myLink app onto your smartphone via the Apple Store or Google Play, plug in the myLink interface and follow the installation instructions. Once set up, the app is simple to use and has a clear and user friendly interface. You can even share your myLink account with multiple users so that all of the family have access.

RTS Compatible

The Somfy myLink App is compatible with all Radio Technology Somfy RTS products including blinds, shades, curtains, screens, awnings, and rolling shutters as well as RTS enabled lighting devices. A single myLink account can control up to 5 RTS channels with one channel being a single motor or a group of motors. If you need more than 5 RTS channels, more myLinks can be added to the system.

Voice Activation

The Somfy myLink can now be used with Amazon Alexa. Using simple commands like “Alexa, ask myLink to close the Kitchen Shades,” you can now ask Alexa to open or close your blinds, via the Somfy myLink app. This ‘hands-free’ operation of your electric blinds is the ultimate in hassle free automation and leads the way for an ultra smart home system.

What are the system requirements for Somfy myLink?

You will need the following three things to use Somfy myLink:

  • Wireless router running 2.4 or 5 GHz networks with WEP, WPA2, open and mixed mode encryption
  • Apple smartphone or tablet running iOS 7 or higher, or an Android device running Jellybean or higher
  • Radio Technology Somfy® (RTS) products, fully pre-programmed with limits and “my” position set, and an RTS control device
