This magnificent home cinema in West Sussex required concealed electric blackout blinds for its two roof skylights. Our client wanted to block out all of the light from the roof windows when watching movies, but also to hide the blinds completely from view and let in maximum light when not in use. To achieve this we used Blindspace® pockets to conceal the roof blinds. We were able to install the blind boxes during the construction phase of the room and advised electricians on where the wiring for the blinds needed to be in order to work with the Rako smart lighting system. We fitted the blackout electric blinds once the construction of the room was complete and our client was extremely happy with the finished result.
Concealed Electric Blinds
We use Blindspace® pockets to create smart and sophisticated roof blind concealment solutions. Whether you want your blinds hidden within a wall, ceiling or skylight structure, our custom-made pockets are a great way to conceal electric blinds when they are not in use. These boxes can be colour-matched to your room’s interior design and we can fit the boxes retrospectively or as part of a new-build or renovation project.
Automated Roof Blinds
Electric blinds are perfect for hard-to-reach windows such as roof skylights. To ensure full blackout and the smooth-running of electric roof blinds we use a special ‘zip’ system. The blind fabric is welded to a ‘zip’ that runs along channels either side of the blind. This keeps the fabric taut, prevents sagging and stops any light from seeping in around the edges of the blind. The ‘zip’ system also ensures that the blinds open and close smoothly.
