We supplied and installed these wonderful blind pockets and 240v hardwired electric blinds for a stunning home renovation in Winchester. Our clients have 3-metre tall sliding doors and didn’t want anything to obstruct the lovely view out onto the garden. So we fitted a ceiling pocket to conceal the blinds when they are not in use. The room is also south facing, so the blinds provide excellent shade from the heat and glare during the summer, as well as provide extra warmth in the evening and during colder winter months. We have a variety of blind pockets in stock which we customise to suit your project. We also have experience of liaising with architects, building contractors and electricians to ensure your new blinds are connected to the correct power, and we source the right fabric for the job.
Blindspace® Blind Ceiling Pockets
Blindspace® pockets are a great way to conceal your blinds when they are not in use. For this particular project, we installed a ceiling pocket just in front of the window frame which the blind rolls up into. The pocket also hides the side tracks and electrical wiring for a neat and tidy finish. Furthermore, our Blindspace® boxes are customised to ensure the perfect fit for your windows.
Hardwired Electric Blinds
The electric blinds fitted here are run from the property’s 240v mains supply. We worked with the building contractors and electrician to ensure the power socket was located close to the windows and the wires run in during the build for ease of installation. Our clients can now operate their electric blinds at the touch of a button and the fabric on each of the window panes will simultaneously rise and fall. With no unsightly cords, these electric blinds look simple and elegant, providing a stunning backdrop for the new kitchen/diner.
