We have just fitted these beautiful electric roller blinds for our client from Canada Water in the New Forest. The new open-plan kitchen features south-facing floor-to-ceiling windows, so blinds were required to keep the room cool when the sun gets too hot. We also needed to ensure that the blind was concealed so as not to spoil the view. Furthermore, we fitted electric blinds to the two-storey entrance window to create some extra privacy.
Concealed Electric Blinds
Both sets of blinds were concealed using custom-built boxes that the blinds retract into. Working with the project’s contractors, we advised on the installation procedure and how the power should be connected to the blinds. Our Blindspace® pockets are high-quality custom made boxes that hide your electric blinds from view when they are not in use. Plus, they can be fitted retrospectively if you aren’t building from scratch.
Our client chose a 1% screen fabric that lets some light through but is also semi-opaque to provide the perfect balance of privacy and light. The fabric blocks 99% of UV light for effective glare and heat control. The natural colour of the fabric also keeps the room looking light and bright, even when the blinds are closed. We have a wide range of fabrics to choose from including full blackout and translucent screens.
