We installed large battery blinds at this stunning property in the South Downs National Park. The impressive double-height glazing at the back of the property reveals incredible views of the surrounding countryside, but with a South-facing direction, the room gets very hot in the summer. So, we fitted two sets of large motorised battery blinds to these windows, as well as glazing in the snug, kitchen and library. We used a translucent fabric on the high-aspect blinds to allow some light to filter through and not make the room too dark. We also fitted custom fascias to hide the blinds from view when they are not in use.
LARGE BATTERY BLINDS
Battery blinds are completely wireless and are powered using household D-cell batteries. With an average use of four movements per day, the batteries can last up to five years and they are simple to replace. Wireless blinds are ideal for hard to reach windows like the high-aspect glazing at this property, or where it’s difficult to install a hardwired power point.
CONCEALED ELECTRIC BLINDS
As you can see from the photos, the blinds are neatly hidden when they are not in use. We have various blind concealment options including blind pockets, and custom fascias like those shown here. The fascias create a smart and polished finish for your electric blinds and can be colour matched to the window frames or your property’s interior decor.
