This is a large 6 metre electric blind that we fitted to a skylight in a home in London. Our client had just carried out a major extension to the property and the large glazed skylight and large sliding doors were a key feature of the room. We worked with the building contractors to ensure that the correct pocket was built into the ceiling so that the electric blind would sit neatly in the space and be concealed from view when not in use. The blind can be controlled via a simple remote control for ease of use.
Extra Large Skylight Blinds
All of our large format skylight electric blinds use a heavy duty system that is designed to provide vast coverage without any sagging. This is achieved using a clever double motor system that adjusts the tension of the fabric as it is deployed. The motors will also apply tension to the fabric once the blind is fully extended. We also install two very thin cables across the length of the skylight to provide extra support.
Made to Measure
No matter how large your skylight, we can supply a custom made roller blind custom made to measure. As you can see from our before and after photos, we surveyed this skylight early on in the project so that we could build an electric blind to fit the space perfectly, without any gaping. This also allowed us to work closely with the building company to make sure the blind would operate smoothly. If you are still in the planning stages of a new home build, extension or renovation, we can work with architects and builders to ensure the perfect fit.
Find Out More
This is a great example of our electric blinds for large skylights. By getting involved with the project early on, we were able to install a perfectly fitted electric blind that sits neatly within the skylight void and is completely hidden from view when not in use.
