We fit roof lantern electric blinds to homes throughout Hampshire, Surrey, West Sussex, Berkshire & London. Draw a screen or blackout blind effortlessly across your roof lantern, flat glass roof or roof skylight at the touch of a button with our ultra-efficient roof lantern electric roller blinds. Whether you need to reduce glare and heat or to make your room more energy-efficient, motorised roof lantern blinds are a great choice for glass ceilings and flat roof lanterns which are often in hard to reach places.
Our electric roof lantern / skylight blinds use a ‘zip’ system to ensure smooth operation and to make sure the fabric is firm and taut at all times. A ‘zip’ is welded along the length of the cloth and this runs inside an inner channel. This zip is designed to stop the fabric from being pulled out of the channel and to make sure the blind opens and closes smoothly and evenly. The zip system also makes sure that full-screen coverage is provided for blackout blinds, with no bowing, gaps or light ingress along the edges.
The smart-looking headbox, side guide and bottom channel are manufactured from powder-coated aluminium and come in white or black as standard. Colour matching to any RAL colour is also available. Headbox sizes include 65mm, 85mm, 100mm and 150mm and can be easily cleaned and maintained in situ. Although smart in appearance, we recommend that a shelf is installed for the roof lantern blind system to sit on and hide the boxes for a more polished look.

For large roof lanterns or flat glass roofs, we use our heavy-duty electric blind system which is designed to provide maximum coverage without sagging. Using a double motor system, the roof lantern blind cleverly adjusts the tension of the fabric as it opens; once the blind is fully deployed or stopped, the motors gently turn in the opposite direction to remove any sag. These extra-large electric blinds also use two very thin (1.5mm) steel cables across the length of the glazing to provide extra support to the large expanse of fabric.
